About the Journal
Dirasat Islamiah: Jurnal Kajian Keislaman (Journal of Islamic Studies), ISSN 2721-5563, is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Universitas Islam Makassar (FAI UIM), in collaboration with the Association of Indonesian Islamic Higher Education Lecturers (ADPETIKISINDO). Published biannually in April and October since 2020, the journal serves as a scholarly platform for researchers, academics, and practitioners to disseminate critical and contextual studies that contribute to the advancement of Islamic scholarship in contemporary society.

Peer Review Process
Dirasat Islamiah: Jurnal Kajian Keislaman implements a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, academic integrity, and scholarly contribution of all submitted manuscripts. In this process, the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed throughout the review procedure to maintain objectivity and fairness in academic evaluation.
Each manuscript submitted to the journal is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers who possess expertise relevant to the manuscript’s subject area. The review process focuses on originality, theoretical contribution, methodological rigor, relevance to Islamic studies, clarity of argumentation, and adherence to academic and ethical standards.

Author Guidelines
Manuscripts submitted to Dirasat Islamiah: Jurnal Kajian Keislaman must be original scholarly works that have not been published or simultaneously submitted to other journals. The journal accepts conceptual papers and research-based articles in the field of Islamic studies from various interdisciplinary perspectives.
Authors are strongly encouraged to use the official journal template provided by the editorial office to ensure consistency in formatting and manuscript preparation.
Language and Manuscript Format
Manuscripts may be written in English, Indonesian, or Arabic and must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) format. Articles should be typed on A4 paper using Times New Roman 12 pt with a length of approximately 7,000–9,000 words.
Arabic Script and Transliteration
Qur’anic verses, Hadith texts, and other Arabic scripts must be written using Traditional Arabic font size 16 pt. Arabic transliteration should follow the Library of Congress (LoC) transliteration system.
Title and Author Information
The manuscript title should be concise, informative, and relevant to the article content. Authors must provide full names without academic titles, institutional affiliation, correspondence address, email address, and active phone number through the journal submission system.
Abstract and Keywords
Articles must include an abstract in English with a maximum length of 250 words and accompanied by a maximum of five keywords representing the main topics of the manuscript.
Structure of Conceptual Articles
Conceptual articles should contain: title, author identity, abstract and keywords, introduction (including research problems, objectives, novelty, methods, and significance), discussion or main content, conclusion containing implications, and references.

Citation and Referencing Style
All citations and references must follow the APA 7th Edition style using body-note citation format. Authors are required to use reference management software such as Mendeley or Zotero to ensure citation consistency and accuracy.
References
References should primarily consist of scholarly sources such as national and international journal articles, research reports, dissertations, theses, and academic books. At least 80% of references should be from publications within the last five years and arranged alphabetically and chronologically.
Editorial Process
All submitted manuscripts undergo editorial screening and double-blind peer review. The editorial board reserves the right to edit manuscripts for formatting, style consistency, and language quality without changing the substance of the work.
